The demand for low-voltage electric screwdrivers in the C-Exact series from Bosch is increasing dramatically. At Motek 2008, the company presents four new models in this production screwdriver range: C-Exact 1 and C-Exact 2, each with lever-start and push-start design.
The C-Exact 1 screwdrivers are designed for applications with very low torques, high speeds and the highest shut-off accuracies: from 0.2 newton meters at 1,000 revolutions per minute and cmk >1.67 at ± 10 percent (calculated in accordance with DIN 5393). The C-Exact 2 models offer torques between 0.5 and two newton meters at speeds of 500 rpm. With the already successfully launched C-Exact 4 screwdrivers with torques of up to 3.5 newton meters in lever-start and push-start design, Bosch offers a finely graded portfolio of low-voltage electric screwdrivers for numerous application areas.
The Bosch screwdrivers in the C-Exact series ideally support the general trend toward resource conservation and the highest possible flexibility: the energy costs of the electric screwdrivers amount to only a fraction of those of air screwdrivers and installation expenditure is considerably lower. For these reasons, continued high growth rates can be expected in the low-voltage electric screwdriver market segment.
All C-Exact low-voltage electric screwdrivers are based on tested components from the Exact cordless screwdriver range from Bosch, in particular the robust, brushless SEC-motor without rotary position encoder. It guarantees low spare-part and service costs as well as robustness and durability – these are ideal prerequisites for cost-effective work in production and the workshop. The use of the tried and tested, highly precise Bosch shut-off clutch produces a cmk value > 1.67 at a tolerance of ± 10 percent (DIN 5393). All C-Exact screwdrivers are also tested to a million screwdriving cycles. They therefore offer a long lifetime as well as top precision. Furthermore, they have electrostatic discharge capability (ESD) as standard, which permits unrestricted use of the C-Exact series in the electrical and electronics industries.
Together with the models C-Exact 1 and C-Exact 2, Bosch is launching the PUC-Exact 3 multiple power supply. It permits the simultaneous operation of up to three low-voltage electric screwdrivers. This reduces system costs by up to 15 percent.
Due to energy costs many times lower than air technology, the C-Exact and PUC-Exact screwdriving systems are an attractive alternative to this technology and to already existing air screwdriving systems. The high energy savings and improved flexibility pay off demonstrably.
